Ave Maria Dance Academy is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Dance Teacher to join our team. As a Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for instructing students in various dance styles, including ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, lyrical, and more. You will also be helping them develop their skills and confidence in a creative, fun, and supportive environment. You will work with students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced, and help them reach their full potential as dancers.
Our ideal candidate is a professional dancer with a strong background in dance education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality dance instruction. You should be knowledgeable and passionate about different dance styles and techniques and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues. You should also be organized, reliable, and able to create engaging lesson plans and choreographies that meet the needs and interests of your students.

Design and deliver engaging and effective dance classes for students of all ages and levels, incorporating a variety of dance styles and techniques.

Create lesson plans and choreographies that align with the curriculum and student learning objectives and adapt them as needed to suit individual and group needs.

Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them improve their dance skills, technique, and performance quality, and fostering their self-expression and creativity.
Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment, and enforce studio policies and procedures.

Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities to stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and respond promptly to inquiries and concerns.
Collaborate with other dance teachers and staff members to organize and participate in studio events, shows, and competitions.

Minimum of 5 years of professional dance experience in multiple styles, such as ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, or contemporary.

Experience teaching dance to students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced.

Strong knowledge of dance technique, terminology, and curriculum development

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.

Creative and flexible approach to lesson planning and choreography, with a focus on student-centered learning.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Preferred but not a requirement: Bachelor's degree in dance education, Dance Performance, or related field
